29 miles off the tip of Cornwall is the small island of Tresco in the Isles of Scilly, which can be reached by sea or air from Penzance, Newquay, Exeter, Bristol or Southampton.

The island of 750 acres is open to walkers to wander as they please it is also the base from boat trips to see seals and birds, including the puffin. Tresco is home to Tresco Abbey Garden, a vast collection of plants from around the world's climate zone for the botanist and layman to enjoy.
