We had great fun at Sudeley – the kids got to have a go at sword fighting whilst we relaxed with a coffee & a very delicious brownie. We came away with a bag full of goodies from the gift shop & the kids slept all the way home!

Sudeley was once the magnificent palace of Queen Katherine Parr, Henry VIII’s last and surviving wife who is buried here in the church. Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn, Lady Jane Grey and Elizabeth I all stayed at Sudeley Castle.The Castle is surrounded by ten magnificent gardens each with their own charm. The centre piece, the Queen’s Garden, is named after Katherine Parr and has a magnificent collection of old-fashioned roses and herbs, surrounded by grand yew hedges.
The Pheasantry & Wildfowl area houses the largest public collection of rare and species in the country.The ground-breaking Contemporary Art exhibition returns as part of an annual rolling programme, with world renowned artists producing some astounding pieces.The castle’s exhibitions and exciting events programme provides something for all the family to enjoy. Events include jousting, farmer’s markets, open air theatre, summer proms and garden events, to name but a very few.
