An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

  • Full programme of guided walks

  • Rich and varied habitat for wildlife

  • Lots of great Autumn events taking place

Covering parts of both Devon and Somerset, the Blackdown Hills are an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and offer truly inspiring autumn breaks. The autumn colours on display are said to rival the famed New England fall, set against rolling hills and hedgerows full of blackberries.

There are also opportunities for taking part in arts and crafts, horse-riding activities and special food/drink events... as well as the more obvious breathtaking walks and cycling opportunities available. The Devon Celebration of Food takes place in October, with many events in or near the Blackdown Hills, visit www.devoncelebrationoffood.co.uk for more information.

For true escapism, the three main valleys of the Blackdown Hills offer a really special experience.
